Patriot born in Quito mostly known for his important action in the events related to the revolution of August 10, 1809. He received from the Sovereign board of Quito the rank of lieutenant colonel, and in command of a small army he marched to the north of Quito trying to stop the realistic repressive forces that came from new Granada.<\/p>\n
