Founded on May 23, 1947 under the name of National telecommunications company as a result of the merger of Marconi Wireless Telegraph and the National Radio (Telegraphy). In this way, the telephone, radiotelegraphic and radiotelephonic services were nationalized since the end of the nineteenth century they were being assumed by international companies of private capital. In April 1950, during the government of Mariano Ospina P\u00e9rez, the National telecommunications Company and the Radiocommunication company was merged, this union is known today as TELECOM.<\/p>\n
