Jesuit Father Bernardo Bitti (Camerino, Italy, 1548-Lima, 1610) was an Italian painter who developed his work in Lima, Cuzco, Ayacucho, La Paz and Sucre. He developed the Cuzco art by providing Spanish style and, in general, European. This Jesuit introduces in Cusco one of the currents in vogue in Europe, the Mannerism, whose main characteristics were the treatment of the figures in a somewhat elongated way, with the light focused on them and an accent on the close-ups in detriment of the landscape and, in general, the details.<\/p>\n
